1. Unusual ?
Created a cool full flash CMS (weeeeell, I think I'm not the only one here), a text prompter (for my school's video club), and a shared agenda (you can add events, invite guests and those events will appear on their agenda, and have their answers).

I'm now working on a knowledge management webservice. :p

2. i have used flash to make org charts for my president. He rearraged stuff so often it was easier to have something to load xml. I also use it to rapidly generate abstract visuals with a combination of movieclips and actionscript. I then capture or print to pdf the result so that i can use them for texture in my digital collages...

3. i've done the CMS thing as well. the last one had a drag and drop image gallery sorter, so that the user could drag the thumbnails around to re-order the the display of the images in each gallery on their site.

That seems more like a traditional use for flash though, I'd definitely be interested in hearing what other non-traditional things people are doing with it.

7. I have used it to prepare a photo slide show to burn to a dvd for my parents...

And I've used it to make short animation movies in which I would import a Bender made 3D set and place flash animated cartoon characters in it...
